Gyprock & Plasterboard Waste is 100% Recyclable
The ReGyp recycling solution assures that the gyprock and plasterboard waste is 100% recyclable. The recycled gypsum powder which makes up to 94% of the waste, can used in industrial and agricultural apllications. The paper with related contaminants which makes up 6% of the waste can be reused or recycled.
Technical Talk – Plaster (CaSO4 1/2H20) is re-hydrated for mixing and forming during the plasterboard manufacturing process were the finished plasterboard product has a gypsum (CaSO4 2H20) core inside the paper liner.
