New NSW Waste Levy

The NSW government is set to raise the waste levies again on the 1st July 2011.

Details below:

• Sydney Metropolitan Area (SMA) will increase to $82.20 per tonne on 1st July 2011;
• Extended Regulated Area (ERA) (Hunter and Illawarra) will increase to $78.60 per tonne on 1st July 2011;
• Regional Regulated Area (RRA) (including north of Port Stephens to the Queensland border and the Blue Mountains and Wollondilly local government areas). This area will increase to $31.10 per tonne on 1st July 2011.
