On the 31st January 2022, REGYP closed it’s Kurnell plasterboard operations, after over a decade of recycling in the Shire.
GYPSUM – All recycled gypsum products will now be produced at our Cowra NSW and Brisbane QLD plants. These sites provide all weather truck access for PBS and HML truck combinations upto 30m, with longer opening hours for loading. We still offer bulk natural gypsum from our Sydney stockpile.
PLASTERBOARD – REGYP has various consolidation points around Greater Sydney for waste plasterboard disposal. This will provide the majority of customers shorter travel times and extended tipping hours (some 24hr) for disposal. REGYP will collect the consolidated waste plasterboard in bulk trucks for recycling into high quality gypsum products closer to our agricultural customers.
REGYP Newcastle – Regyp is now exploring opportunities in Newcastle for operating sites to increase the footprint of our NSW offering now the Sydney sites are only for consolidation.
For more information on these consolidation points and our new service & product offerings please contact the office on ph 1300473497.
We apologies for any inconvenience this closure may cause to our customers, but the operational changes will ensure the sustainability of REGYP’s services in multiple cities and regional areas well into the future.
Also early in 2022 our Melbourne plasterboard recycling operations will re-start and we have completed agreements in Perth for plasterboard disposal/recycling.
